December 2017 Society Auction

Lot 105. Five covers with special cachets/cancellations. Two commemorate the 100th anniversary of birth of Marcelin Berthelot. Each were posted in Port au Prince on 12 July 1927. Three covers bear special Lindbergh cachets struck in red color on postage stamps on occasion of Lindbergh Day, 6 February 1928. The covers are mounted on heavy pages (four) and are very nicely written up. A nice selection of items for the cover collector.
