December 2007 Society Auction

Lot 90. Cover sheet only, Jeremie to Plimouth (England), very clean strike of the Jamet #3 for Jeremie, neat 1/2 (E) charge. The letter evidently when via Le Cap, because there is a clear 18 AVRIL on the back, as Jamet #18 arrival marking for Le Cap. The date 17 April 1788 is written inside the cover sheet. A nice, clean example of two scarce markings, and an unusual destination.
