Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

The second major component of the unauthorized issues for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games consisted of  six stamp designs released in a composite sheet format with a varying background.   The images appear to be blurred because of the production method employed.  Termed Song Jin brocade, the sheetlet was produced on silk to match a style popular in China's Song Dynasty.   Five of the stamp designs feature the characters that were the mascots of the Olympics, while the sixth design directly honored the Olympics.  Each design is valued at ten gourdes and the sheetlet was released without gum.
