Lot 7. Folded letter, Le Cap 1 June 1801 to Philadelphia via Baltimore. Nice clear BALT * Md Jun 22 handstamp, and clear SHIP both on front. Also ms 27 (cents) due marking, double inland rate plus 2 cents ship letter fee. Contents are one page in English, neat handwriting and easily read. Letter describes cargo and intent to sail “in the morning”. Letter is very clean and sound and is quite attractive. VF.
