Lot 12. Folded letter, 9 September 1795, Port au Prince to Newburyport, Massachusetts via Wilmington, Delaware, charges double the inland rate, 44 cents, plus 4 cents ship letter fee. Markings are a strike of a “Franklinmark“ 11 OC in a circle”, manuscript ’W Dw’ faint and ’North W’ faint, and Sh 48. Vertical file fold; some smearing of the ink detract somewhat. Contents in English can be read. Overall Good to Fine.
