Lot 11. Imperforate full pane #49 (10x10) in red (unissued color) as sunken die proof. 12 x 15 1/8 inches. On very heavy cardboard with French word ESSAIS below pane in border. Bottom left corner slightly damaged, some toning. Ex: Dickason. In correspondence with Dickason, the seller, Stanley Gibbons, in 1973 asked $500.00 per proof. Very rare.
