Lot 49. Disinfected reg. cover Port de Paix to Chicago, Dec. 5, 1901, with “disinfected” hand stamp in purple. Paid by 20 centimes (issue of Simon Sam). Cover cut along bottom for treatment; some taping evident at left. Very rare! See HP, XV:2, p. 29 for similar cover. Good condition considering its handling and age.
